Now here is a clever way to handle a commercial blog. The blog is built around - and promotes - the game reserves and safaris run by &Beyond (formerly CC Africa) and they're up front about it on the front page so you know what you are getting. But cleverly instead of shoveling marketing material down your eyeballs, they have built their blog content around sightings and images of the wildlife on their properties.
It's really very interesting having a squizz at a rare leopard's photograph and knowing where and how it was spotted. There's also a voyeuristic pleasure in this blog because most of us mere mortals can only dream of visiting these venues.
There's a ton of content on the site with gazillions of pictures. Very nice indeed.
From a design point of view why can't they push up the font size? I'm starting to think that I am going blind on some of these blogs. I like the alternating header image though. It's a simple technique feature in many Wordpress Themes I know but is rarely used effectively.
